The NB Network in Primary and Integrated Health Care Innovations (PIHCI) and the Maritime SPOR Support Unit (MSSU) invites you to join us October 3rd, 2019 for the second annual Patients’ Den, where patient advisors will help set research priorities in New Brunswick. We will be granting cash awards to research teams and students with projects that respond to the NB PIHCI Priorities. There will be two open-call prizes of $5,000 each, and two student prizes of $2,500 each. The funding is to be used to help support research teams with further developing their research ideas and/or the development of grant applications.
Interested research teams will be asked to submit an online application and if approved will present their proposed research project at the in-person event on October 3rd. Applicants will have approximately 8 minutes to present, and may use visual aids. After each presentation, there will be a brief question and answer period.
The applications will be assessed by a panel of patients to determine how well the proposed ideas address the NB PIHCI priorities. A panel of researchers will also assess each project to ensure the scientific merit of the study.
Successful applicants will be notified by August 30th. Presenters will need to submit their PowerPoint presentations for translation no later than September 6th.
