Atlantic Region - Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing Research Conference (ARCASN 2018) will be held at Cape Breton University, Oct. 11th - 13th. The theme is Celebrating Difference: Indigenous and Intercultural Diversity in Nursing Education. You can find more information through the link.
Canadian Association on Gerontology (CAG) will be hosting CAG2018: Making it Matter: Mobilizing Aging Research, Practice & Policy, Oct. 18th - 20th in Vancouver. This will be CAG's 47th Annual Scientific and Educational Meeting.
The Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research will be hosting a workshop, Abuse of Older Women: Strategies for a Community-based Approach, to discuss issues of abuse of older women, Oct. 24th at the Wu Conference Centre in Fredericton. The theme for the 24th Qualitative Health Research Conference will be Facing the Next 20 Years: The quandary of qualitative research in divided times. The conference focuses on qualitative research in health disciplines and is held in various Canadian cities every October - this year in Halifax, Oct. 25th - 29th.
NBHRF's 10th Annual Health Research Conference will be Nov. 7th - 8th in Fredericton. SPOR Summit 2018 – Mapping the Progress of Patient-Oriented Research in Canada will be Nov. 13th - 15th in Ottawa. Event attendance is by invitation only though several sessions will be broadcast live online. It will provide an opportunity for SPOR stakeholders and the patient-oriented research community to share, collaborate, and hear from experts. Building on Excellence: Accelerating the Impact of Cross-Jurisdictional Primary Health Care Research in Canada: Members and grant-holders of the SPOR PIHCI Network are coming together with the 12 CIHR-funded Community-Based Primary Health Care (CBPHC) innovation teams (12-Teams), Dec. 6th & 7th in Montreal for a joint meeting. At this meeting, the 12-Teams will be discussing the outcomes of their past five years of work as well as knowledge translation and exchange strategies together with the leads and members of the PIHCI networks.
The 2019 Annual CAHSPR Scientific Conference, ‘When Research Meets Policy’, will be hosted at the Halifax Convention Centre in Halifax, Scotia from May 29-31, 2019. Healthcare leaders from Nova Scotia and across Canada talk openly about what they value in health services research and hear noted researchers explain how they make their findings helpful to decision makers. The call for abstracts for the 2019 conference will be launched on Monday, Oct. 22nd, 2018.
POSTPONED: The Saskatchewan SPOR PIHCI was planning a Health System Integration National Policy Conference on health system integration to be held this November. They're hoping to have a new date soon - possibly spring, 2019.
